Administrative Assistant
Our intern positions are for current students and recent graduates at all levels and institutions. Interns will become an integral part of the staff at Sister Cities International.
Upon the successful completion of a semester, we provide interns with a stipend to help with expenses such as transportation costs to and from the Sister Cities International office.
Sister Cities International is seeking Interns to assist with membership, marketing, program, and administrative support. Interns will work part-time, 20-25 hours a week for a minimum of 3 months. Upon completion of a 3-month term, interns will receive a $500 stipend. The start and end dates of this internship are flexible, and in-person or hybrid schedules can be accommodated. Although interns will have their designated tasks, they are encouraged and expected to offer support in other departments when needed.
Our interns have unique exposure to peacebuilding practices through global citizen networks and a dynamic work environment. This is a wonderful opportunity for undergraduate or graduate students to work hands-on with one of the most influential nonprofit organizations in the country.
If you are interested in citizen diplomacy, international relations, or nonprofit work, and you enjoy collaborating with volunteers and employees in the field who have influence and make a difference in their communities, then this is the place for you! International students studying in the U.S. are eligible, but they must hold a valid F-1 or J-1 visa and appropriate work authorization if they are receiving compensation for the internship.
